Luxor Governorate is Located Southern Egypt, 670 KM south of Cairo, 220 KM north of Aswan. Luxor Population:- round half a million. Luxor Governorate Districts are :- District and City of Luxor ( El-bayedia City- Elodysat South- Elodysat North – El-Tod – El-Boghdady – El-Hobiel ) District and City of Qurna ( Qurna City, south Kamoula. West Kamoula, Al-kaltah, El-Bouierate, El-Dabieha, El-Mariess) El-Zienniea District ( Zienniea south, Zienniea North, El-madamoud, El-Ashie, El-Saiedah) District of Armant  District of Esna Luxor Governmental Decree Presidential Decree No. 153 of 1989 for Luxor special regime. Presidential Decree No. 312 of 2006 annexation of the local unit of Marrise village to the city of Luxor. The Prime Minister Decree No. 3284 of 1995 amending the administrative border of the city of Luxor. The Prime Minister Decree No. 2326 of 2000 amending the Scope Luxor city. The Prime Minister Decree No. 1895 of 2006 establishing a new city/center of New Qurnah. The Prime Minister Decree No. 1832 of 2006 amending the local unit scope for El-Zienniea Center at Luxor. Upon The content of the decision No. 4769 of the Public Prosecutor's record in the administrative section of 2008, as well as record No. 5062, 5083 for 2008, and upon the President Decree No. 333 for the year 2008, to annex the island of Armant of the Armant Center in Qena to the administrative border of the city of Luxor. Presidential Decree No. 378 of 09/12/2009 announce Luxor will be the 29th governorate and will annex the cities of armant and esna from qena governorate
